About the job

The Project Lead will be a key function of the team at Deutsche Windtechnik Ltd. The role is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Planning, designating resources and budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed are key elements of this role.

Location: Hybrid, near Livingston - Depending on the project, travel may be required.

Duties and responsibilities – Including but not limited to:

• Determine and define project scope and objectives

• Coordinate internal projects, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments

• Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time

• Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements 

• Managing project administration by creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation

• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

• Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximise deliverable outputs

• Perform risk management to minimise potential risks

• Meeting budgetary objectives

• Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders

• Report regularly to management, escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

• Utilise Project Management and Business Process Management disciplines for successful, on-budget and on-time initiatives delivery

Essential:

• At least three years of project management or related experience required

• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

• Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines

• Ability to communicate with all levels in the company

• Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

• Proficiency in proven Project Management tools would be advantageous

• Self-motivated and resourceful, with the proven ability to multitask, solve problems creatively, and operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressure

• Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills

• Ability to use initiative and make decisions under pressure

• Excellent analytical skills with a creative approach to solving problems

• Be self-confident and possess strong leadership skills
