SAP -Senior Authorised Person (all genders)

Depending on your experience and career ambitions, you will have the opportunity to develop towards a Control Engineer role. We welcome applications from candidates who are already working at Control Engineer level as well as experienced SAPs who are looking to take the next step in their career. Remaining in an SAP role is also possible if it best matches your profile and the project's requirements.
Your Profile
- Qualification as SAP / Senior Authorised Person or a comparable qualification in high-voltage / medium-voltage operations
- Alternatively, several years of relevant experience in HV / MV switching operations and willingness to develop into an SAP or Control Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of High Voltage Switching Operations, ideally with experience at 230 kV level or comparable voltage levels
- Experience in planning, preparing, executing or reviewing switching operations and switching schedules
- Good understanding of Electrical Safety Rules, Permit-to-Work processes, authorization systems and safe working procedures for electrical installations
- Experience with UK Electrical Safety Rules or comparable rule sets is desirable, but not a knock-out criterion
- Experience in offshore wind projects, onshore substations or offshore substations is an advantage
- Sound technical judgement, structured way of working and clear communication with control room staff, field teams and project stakeholders
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Willingness to work in Taiwan for a temporary assignment
Your Tasks
- Support the Hai Long offshore wind project in the area of HV / 230 kV switching operations
- Work at SAP level or, depending on experience, as Control Engineer
- Plan, prepare and coordinate HV / MV switching operations
- Prepare, review or approve switching schedules
- Support switching conversations and operational coordination between control room, field teams, substation teams and other project stakeholders
- Apply Electrical Safety Rules, Permit-to-Work processes and comparable authorization and safety procedures
- Support the assessment of faults, trips, alarms or grid-related events
- Document switching activities, safety precautions and authorizations
- Optionally support the training and development of local Taiwanese SAP or Control Engineer candidates
